A fascinating Saharan country
Although its capital N’Djamena is developing rapidly, the rest of Chad remains an authentic and unspoilt destination. Between the legendary Tibesti Mountains and Lake Chad covered with thousands of birds, there is a huge country with fascinating landscapes to be discovered.
One of the world’s most beautiful deserts
The Chadian Sahara contains the infinite variety of the desert with breathtaking landscapes: the magical dunes of Mourdi, the mineral hell of Tibesti with its myriad colours, and the rock columns of the Ennedi Plateau sculpted by sandstorms… Lakes miraculously suddenly appear amid the sand or at the foot of glowing cliffs, and caves conceal ancient paintings. The Emi Koussi Volcano, the highest point in the Sahara, rises to a height of 3,415 metres.
N’Djamena, a dynamic city
N’Djamena is growing at a rapid pace and this former small colonial town has now become a modern, dynamic city.
