Jufureh
Jufureh is located on the Northern bank of the Gambia River, just 25 kilometres away from Banjul. It became famous in the 70s following the publication of Roots in which the author perfectly describe the experience of Kunta Kinte's capture in Jufureh some 200 years ago

Kids' Club and AnimationDuring the seasonal entertainment period, the hotel runs an animation programme with a team of well trained staff. Programmes start at 10.00am and consist of games such as water basketball, water gym and bingo. The hotel also runs a special kids' programme so that you can relax while your children are entertained with games, quizzes and crafts.
Fishing
Sea and river fishing is good all year round, especially line fishing from the beaches. There are various organisations that offer boats for hire at reasonable prices especially at Denton Bridge and in the estuary of the River Gambia. Every year the Gambian beaches play host to the Masterline International Beach Fishing Festival. From October through May, beach fisherman can expect to take a wide variety of fish which include Large Guitarfish, Stingrays, Captain Fish, Jacks and Cassava Grouper. Local Transport
By AirThe Gambia's main airport is Banjul International and is located about 20km (12miles) southwest of the city centre and 15km (9miles) southeast of the Atlantic coast resorts. This airport acts as the main hub of the Gambia, connecting the city with various foreign countries around the world. Taxis
